to check windows system files. Go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>system information>tools>system file checker.

click on scan for altered files. it will scan and say done checking files. go back to tools>system file checker and click on settings. on the bottom of the page by log choose view log. the CRC match should say yes. if not you have corrupted windows files. you can replace from the installation disk, if ony a few corrupted files. I will let you know if you can restore multiple files from the browse button or not. currently RTI says wipe the drive reformat and reinstall windows.
