V9 LICENSE SERVER WONT START PASSWORD EXPIRED

Had a down call today Neutgens Variety, they had an error that their LICENSE SERVER COULD NOT START and RPRO9 would not work. we rebooted the PC and I checked the event viewer under applications it said that the license server could not start due to an expired password. I spoke to RTI and they said that this was a known bug and that there was a password expiration fix. according to RTI the oracle password policy is set to expire in 90 days, the Password fix sets the oracle password to never expire. extraced the zip file to the RPRO 9 directory and then ran from a command line, it said update sucesfull and the service started just fine.

RTI said that this is fixed in the 50.385 MP or higher. the current Install image has the problem, so unless all our V9 cusomters are on 50.385 or higher they will go down after 90 days.

I have put the tool in the T:VERSIONSRETAIL PRO9_SERIESPWDFIX
and also on the FTP server under FTPBHDTOOLSV9 pwdexp fix
