USB ELTRON INF

This has always been a hit or miss install depending on the hardware you are using. For whatever reason, many of the PCs you try installing this on give you a message of “The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later”.

The reason for this is that the USBPRINT.INF file in these install packages is old and out of date. This includes both our old eltron driver as well as the seagull drivers (even the newest ones).

If you run into this issue, there is a file located at:

T:DATATechmichaelUSBPRINTINF

that will fix the issue. Just copy this file into the driver install folder you are using and replace the old file. Once this is done the add new hardware wizard should work correctly.
