Windows XP
1.Right-click the Windows Start button and select Explore.
2.Select the Tools menu and select Folder Options.
3.Click the View tab and check the Hide extensions for known file types checkbox.
4.Select Show hidden files and folders and clear Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).
5.Click OK.
6.Navigate in the left window to the location: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataIntuitEntitlement Clientv8. To navigate, click the plus sign (+) next to each folder listed.
7.Right click the first file in this folder and select Delete. Click Yes and repeat for each additional file in the v8 folder.
8.Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again. If the error persists, try solution 2.

Windows 7 and Vista
1.Right-click the Windows Start button and select Open Windows Explorer.
2.Click Organize and select Folder and Search Options.
3.Click the View tab, select Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
4.Navigate in the left window to C:Program DataIntuitEntitlement Clientv8
5.Press the CTRL + A keys to select all the files in the folder and then press Delete.
6.Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again. If the error persists, try solution 2.

Windows 8
1.Drag your mouse to the lower-left corner, right-click the Start button and then choose File Explorer.
2.Click the View tab and check the Hidden items checkbox.
3.Navigate in the left window to: C:Program DataIntuitEntitlement Clientv8.
4.Press the CTRL + A keys to select all the files in the folder and then press Delete.
5.Open Point of Sale again and complete the registration process again. If the error persists, try solution 2.
