PASSWORD BACKUP FAILED PCCHARGE CLOSES, OR DATABASE CORRUPT

Locating and backing-up the database
Close the PCCharge Software
Open the PCCharge Directory
Find the ‘PCCW.MDB’ file (it may be necesary to set the folder to show file extensions)
Right click on the PCCW.MDB select ‘Copy’
Right click anywhere in the directory there is not a file icon and select ‘Paste’
This will create a backup of the database, called “Copy of PCCW.MDB”
Right click on the “Copy of PCCW.MDB” and select ‘Rename’
Replace the ‘Copy of’ with the current date (mmddyy pccw.mdb)
Repair Database
Double click on the ‘VisData.exe’ file
Click on ‘No’ when asked to “Add System.MD”
Go Under ‘File’ to ‘Repair MDB’
Double Click on the PCCW.MDB in the center window
Click on ‘No’ when asked to “Open Repaired Database”
Compact Database
Go Under ‘File’ to ‘Compact MDB’
Select the option for ‘2.0’
Double Click on the PCCW.MDB in the center window at the ‘Open’ window
Double Click on the PCCW.MDB in the center window at the ‘Save’ window
Click on ‘Yes’ when asked to “Replace the Existing File”
Click on ‘No’ when asked to “Encrypt Compacted Database”
If you encrypt the database with the VisData Utility it may become completely unusable to PCCharge
Click on ‘No’ when asked to “Open Compacted Database”
Close the VisData Utility
Open PCCharge
