If the tape drive is not being recognized, please check that the “T” drive (or the current Tape Drive letter) has not been assigned to as a network drive.
By default (and if the “T” drive is unassigned) the Echo software will assign the “T” drive as the virtual tape drive at the time of installation. If, after the install, the network drive assignments change, then you may find the tape drive not being recognized.
To fix the problem, open the ECHO software, select TOOLS, and then select DEVICE OPTIONS. Highlight the DP-30 drive then select the Button Box labeled CHANGE DRIVE LETTER. The drive letters currently available will be listed. Choose one. Back out of the software and reboot.
