MW GENIUS AND VOIP PHONES

Working with Pet Extreme to install Genius units on 4 lanes. On each workstation, the Genuis and the computer were both connected to a switch, which was connected to the VOIP phone, then each VOIP phone was connected to one switch, which was connected to the router. After all settings were confirmed we were getting “communicating” window on rpro, and the Genius machine would bring up “WAITING…” status and eventually time-out. Pet Extreme worked with their networking guys and found the VOIP phone’s needed an internal battery to have enough power to provide the genius unit enough networking power to reach the staging server for MW. They also mentioned something about reversing the direction of the ethernet on the phone, but didn’t go into detail.
