Mcafee does have an exclude capability in their Total Protection for Small Business Software.
The customers can call 1-800-338-9754 , Opt 2 , opt 4
At the top middle of the Total Protection Security center , hit “Groups and Policies” and select “Add Policy”
At the top create any name for the policy you want to create in the “policy name” field.
Go towards the bottom under the section called “Excluded Files and Folders”
Select “folder” from the drop down and put the Retailpro path in the “value” field. i.e. D:AppsV8
MAKE SURE TO END A FOLDER PATH WITH A BACKSLASH
THEN YOU HAVE TO ADD THAT POLICY TO A GROUP:
You can add a new group or just use the default group.
To use the default group just click on the Groups and Policies at the top middle again (without selecting the Add Group or Add policy drop down.)
Existing Groups and policies are listed and can be assigned or edited.
Under Groups, next to “default” hit the “edit/assign policy” link
Make sure the policy you created with the exclude in in the policy drop-down and save.
