INTEGER DIVIDE BY ZERO ERROR WITH DITTO DRIVE

If you are getting an “Integer divide by Zero error” use the following steps to solve the problem.

STEP ONE – Reboot your computer

Click Start and select Shut Down.

Select Restart and click the OK button.

Perform a backup on your Ditto® drive.

Is the problem fixed?

Y You are now ready to use your Ditto drive.

N Please continue with the next step.

STEP TWO – Delete Ditto Tools backup software

Remove the QBWIN directory.

Double-click the My Computer icon.

Right-click the QBWIN directory.

Select Delete.

Click the Yes button to remove the file from your computer.

Remove Ditto files from the SYSTEM.INI file.

Click Start and then select run.

Type SYSEDIT and then select OK.

Locate the SYSTEM.INI window.

Locate the [386Enh] section.

Remove the line: DEVICE=C:QBWINVFINDTD.386.

Note: This line may not be present in all systems.

Close the SYSTEM.INI window.

When prompted to save changes, select Yes.

Remove Ditto files from the WIN.INI file.

Locate the WIN.INI window.

Locate and remove the following lines:

C:QBWINDITTO.EXE

C:QBWINQBWSCHED.EXE

Note: These lines may not be present in all systems.

Close the WIN.INI window.

When prompted to save changes, select Yes.

Restart the computer.

Is the problem fixed?

Y You are now ready to use your Ditto drive.

N Please continue with the next step.

STEP THREE – Reinstall the Ditto backup software

If you do not have a copy of the Ditto backup software, you can download the current Ditto software from the Iomega® FTP Web site at ftp://ftp/english/ditto98.exe

Download the Ditto backup software onto your desktop or into a clean folder.

Double-click the downloaded file.

Follow the installation instructions.

Restart your computer when prompted to complete the installation.
