DO NOT USE VREPAIR ON A CLIENT SERVER WITHOUT SPECIFIC PERMISSION FROM ROB!
Make sure everybody is off the network. Go to the server and press ALT-ESCAPE to get to a server prompt. Type DISMOUNT SYS [Enter] Type LOAD C:SERVER.312VREPAIR (C:NWSERVERVREPAIR for Novell 4 & 5) [Enter] Press 2 [Enter] for options Press 2 [Enter] to set it to write changes immediately to disk. Press 4 [Enter] to set it to purge deleted files. Press 5 [Enter] to return to the main menu. Press 1 [Enter] to repair a volume. It will start the process. When it comes across the first error it will pause to give you an error description. Press F1 Press 1 [Enter] to set it not pause after errors. Press 0 [Enter] to continue VREPAIR… When it is finished you just press any key to continue and then press 0 [Enter] to exit. You should run VREPAIR at least twice if there are errors. If there are errors the second time then run it one more time, and so on until it runs completely with 0 errors. Then type DOWN [Enter] to down the server. Type EXIT [Enter] to return to DOS. At the C:SERVER.312> prompt, just reset the computer and it should come back up to the server information screen, or MONITOR.
