With Dugan, BHD's new Big Hairy Puppy trotting around the office, we are happily once again raising the next generation of Big Hairy Dog.
Likewise, the Sacramento River Cats minor league baseball team expect some 75 pooches for the annual 'Bark in the Ballpark' tonight at the club's stadium. Fans will be allowed to bring their dog to pre-game festivities and then watch a game together on the grassy berm, also known as Home Run Hill.
To our knowledge, this is the first time the River Cats have combined the ball park with the dog park. We hope everyone has a great time, and our River Cats bring home a win!

168 Minutes!
The BHD Tech Board has been very busy over the past few weeks. This is most likely due to the rush of summer shoppers.
Even as we know that around 2.5 hours is not a bad call-back time, we are constantly trying to improve our service and shorten the time you wait for a call-back.

BHD customer, All American Swim Supply, in Florence, Alabama, had their server crash, causing a complete hardware failure at their retail operation. Gwen, their BHD contact, was on the phone with Brian, a BHD tech, while waiting for her IT person to arrive onsite.
While Gwen was running through her options, i.e., hand-writing paper tags, etc., Brian reminded her that they own Paysabers, and had just updated their inventory. He told her, "Just scan your customer's items to be purchased, with your Paysaber and we can import the transactions into Retail Pro." This was a quick and efficient resolution to a technical glitch that could have potentially cost them sales and time.
Working smarter, not harder, is something we all try to achieve. Sometimes the best solution can be right under our nose! We all know Paysabers work great for remote off-site sales events, however it can work just as great as a backup Point of Sale if a POS were to go down. The Paysaber doesn't depend on store power or internet. You have to admit - that makes a pretty smart backup plan.
If you'd like to get information on a Mobile POS, please contact your BHD Representative. These hand-held scanners have diverted more than one disaster! Call BHD to learn more: 800-377-7776
